This past weekend

I did as little as possible while accomplishing much. I got a bit of unpacking done in the kitchen. Two whole boxes, yay! I managed to find a new faux-cactus for the show. I fully expect to have to buy another, as I don't know if this one will put up with the rough treatment it gets. I made a beef stew that will likely feed me for a week. I went to IKEA earlier in the week, windowshopped the assorted tv-stands and kitchen tables available, and came home with a lamp, and a small carpet I can wipe my feet on. I will likely buy a doormat for the outside of the door, once I see something I like. I listened to Car Talk, Prairie Home Companion, Thistle & Shamrock, and Afropop Worldwide. I did dishes. I cast on 259 stitches for the Hanne Vest with only about 700 more to go. I really like this pattern. It's very forgiving for differences in gauge. and Gauge swatches are fun! I'm going to keep the one I did for this piece and use it as a coaster. I did grocery shopping and picked up soup on sale for work lunches. I watched The Revengers Tragedy. that movie was a lot of fun! Melodramatic and well-hammed up with tons of scenery chewing. Starring Christopher Eccleston and Eddie Izzard, Plus with Bonus! Derek Jacobi in lipstick and sunglasses!

I don't know how I accomplished this much with just lazing around the house. at least it felt like lazing around. It's hard to feel like you're working when you're knitting while watching a movie and listening to NPR.
