So how was it?
What art did you buy? What was the graffiti?

Re: So how was it?
Quite fun, if a bit too hot. I brought an umbrella, even though I didn't need it for rain. However it served as an excellent sunshade. Stopped off for Thai food before I left Silver Spring. I also dropped off almost all my yarn at the Craft Mutiny Supply Swap. All my cheap yarn that I'm never going to use is now got rid of. The alpaca I'm keeping, because I've promised myself that I'll make wristwarmers out of it someday.

The art was photographs of the graffiti I could see from the Metro Red line that had been separated into its respective alphabetical letters. Artist was Kimyia Varzi and I bought a leather triptych of ABC in graffiti for $30. Its rather like the the one pictured on the page.

The handmade soaps were by Biggs & Featherbelle. Luscious smelling stuff at 3 for $10.

I just realized I hadn't fully answered your question. The graffiti on along the Red Line was very interesting. I saw no obscenity. a lot of it was names, the word PEAR kept appearing. A lot of repetition. Big fat colorful letters. I saw a few anti-war & anti-bush sentiments, but oddly enough those were in black spray-paint only.
